Balancing Work Cultures

When work cultures are balanced, which means that each person’s uniqueness is respected and drawn upon to enrich the composition of the group, the organization is stronger and more able to meet the agility required in today’s marketplace. In turn, employees feel more valued and satisfied with their team contributions.

The Need

People are unique just as cultures are unique. Because people embrace the values and the orientations of their own culture, their differences can create an environment of mistrust or misunderstanding. If the causes of conflict are not understood or managed, culturally diverse work environments can become a war zone.

The misunderstanding of each other’s methods and motives disrupts organizational harmony and results in production blocks.

Cultural Team Management: Training in how to use teams as a primary mode for identifying and balancing cultures in support of accomplishing organizational goals.

Cultural Training for Trainers: An integrated cultural structure and learning transfer training which equips individuals to then train others in how to maintain a diverse work environment.

Cultural Leadership Training: Incorporates a unique blend of cultural, team and organizational design learnings to enable key managers in operating and maintaining culturally diverse work environments.

Audits in Multi-cultural Environments: The WorkStyle Patterns® Inventory (WSP™), created by The McFletcher Corporation, identifies distinctions in Preferences and work perceptions for individuals, teams and functions operating in multi-cultural environments. Custom-designed questionnaires and cultural audits are utilized for targeted assessments. Employee groups are also taught how to conduct cultural audits of their work environment.
